Sculptor Anelio Batle meticulously hand crafts each Graphite Object in his San Francisco studio. Using a proprietary technique, carbonaceous graphite (the same material in pencils) and smudge-resistant compounds are fused into a reproducible forms crafted by Batle. Each piece is then delicately carved and finished.
All of the surfaces of these beautiful objects draw. The compound mixed in to the graphite prevents smudging on to the hand. With daily use these Graphite Objects last 7 to 9 years. |
